VMware’s “live” snapshots are nothing near Hyper-V they are slower to take and recover and built-in port mirroring capability in VMware Workstation is nonexistent. Hyper-V Server does a really great job, and using Hyper-V “desktop” at home just felt right after that. This topic has been locked by an administrator and is no longer open for commenting. Sorry, the name is “Guest Additions”, for VirtualBox at least. Every one of them name it differently, VMware calls them “VMware tools”. It’s the utility that installs drivers inside the guest for drag-and-drop, automatic resize etc. Autocorrect typo, blame the windows dictionary for that one flag Report. See the link above Spice 1 flag Report. Alex This person is a verified professional. Yes it is, that’s just an interface. Hyper-V role in Win10 and Server actually installs the hyper-v hypervisor on the baremetal and converts the originally installed OS into a special management VM, much like Больше информации has a special management VM.
If you’re going to be doing a lot of interaction with your VMs, Workstation is a better tool. You don’t need to use RDP with it’s restrictions. Workstation allows nested VMs. Workstation has better Linux support I’m a big Hyper-V fan, but the ease of use feature set is not there for desktop virtualization.
